Kesari Bhaat Recipe
Ingredients
- Rawa – 2 tbsp 
- Chopped cashew nuts – ½ tsp
- Raisins – ½ tsp
- Saffron – 2-3 strands
- Cardamom powder – 1/4th tsp
- Turmeric powder – A pinch
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care – 3 Scoops
Method
- In a small bowl, soak saffron strands in 2 tablespoons warm milk and keep aside.
- Dry roast rava on a slow flame. Once there is an aroma take it off the gas and keep aside.
- Take ghee in a thick pan, add cashew nuts, roast and then add raisins and stir till they swell. Remove them from the ghee and keep aside. Keep the ghee aside too.
- In a pan take ½ cup of water, saffron strands and turmeric powder.
- Once it boils, slowly add the rava without it forming lumps and mix well.
- Add the cardamom powder and leftover ghee. Mix well and cover and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the cashew nuts and raisins. Mix and switch off the gas.
- Cool and add 3 scoops of Ensure Diabetes Care and mix well. Serve.
